1. What is your service area?
KRS covers Manhattan (NYC), Bronx, Brooklyn, Queen, Staten Island, Nassau County, and Suffolk County. If your restaurant is outside of our service area, please contact our office.
2. Are your technicians factory trained?
Yes. Our technicians complete an intense training period, at the end of which they are sent to the manufacturer’s factory to be trained on the latest technology.
3. What kind of equipment does KRS repair?
We repair commercial kitchen equipment including all of your kitchen’s “hot-line” equipment, fryers, ovens, convection ovens, steamers, grillers, salamanders, cheese melters, kettles, heat lamps, broilers, steam tables, etc. If you have any questions about equipment not listed please contact our office.
4. Do you provide manufacturer warranty service?
Yes we do provide this service for most of the major factory brands including Southbend, Blodgett, Pitco, MagicKitchen, Electrolux, Sodir, Equipex, Molteni, Diva de Provance, Altoshamm, and Ditto Dean. Please visit Our Service section to link directly to these manufacturers.
5. Can you provide references?
Yes, we can provide references for you from many of our customers upon request. We also have a Testimonials Page that can demonstrate our unrivaled expertise.
6. Do you stock parts on your service vans?
Yes. KRS keeps over 150 of the most common parts in van stock. We believe this is a more efficient way to fix the unit correctly during that first service call.
7. Does KRS sell kitchen parts or equipment?
Yes, we have an extensive warehouse filled with original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket parts.
8. What are your service fees?
As a result of each area having a different labor rate, please contact our office so that we can quote the appropriate rate for your individual establishment.
9. Do you offer a service contract?
Yes. KRS refers to this as PMM or a Preventative Monthly Maintenance contract. Our contracts cover labor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also includes a monthly “tune up.” These contracts are reasonably priced and can be cancelled at any time. Please call us today to inquire about PMM and we will send a technician to evaluate your equipment and provide you with a price on a contract.
10. What are your methods of payment?
At KRS we accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. If you fill out a credit application at KRS we will extend credit terms to you upon the approval of your application.
11. What are your office hours?
KRS is open Monday through Friday between 6AM and 5PM. We provide our customers with an after hours emergency voicemail box for your convenience that is monitored hourly.
12. What are your service technicians’ hours?
Our service technicians are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in order to insure optimal maintenance at your establishment.
